Capacity Building
Many of our personnel gained their expertise in confronting terrorist threats in Northern Ireland and other global conflict environments. This grounded experience enables us to work with host nations to build intelligence capacity and deliver effective security sector reform. We have the skills on how to gather information and turn it into useable intelligence. With over a decade supporting law enforcement and military organisations to build effective intelligence and investigation capabilities; we have developed a wide range of in-depth doctrine, standard operating procedures, course material and documented processes. These underpin the operational skills our experts can provide to create an effective solution for you. Our programmes are flexible and tailored to be sensitive to local needs and customs. They dovetail with government initiatives such as the UK’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF).
We work with overseas governments and security agencies to build host nation security responses ranging from organisational structures (command and control), building intelligence and investigation capacity including HUMINT, Information Operations, Special Forces training and inter-agency operations.
Intelligence Led Solutions
As the world becomes more dangerous with law enforcement and military activities blurring and morphing into new and more complex threats, governments and security agencies need to be able to disrupt insurgent and terrorists threats. Central to this is the degradation of threat networks whose activities are often closely associated with criminal gangs. Intelligence remains one of the most reliable and effective tools, and can be a force multiplier for police or military; supporting investigative responses, enhanced with good systems and analysis. Security agencies have to respond and solve intelligence challenges quickly with decisions based on intelligence. It is essential that intelligence is timely, accurate and obtained from reliable sources. Pinpoint training and mentoring programmes provide a blueprint for transformation intelligence collection; a foundation for skill transfer and development; and a professional training framework for intelligence practitioners.
Security Organisation Change
Public confidence is a critical yardstick of the effectiveness of security, and can be measured through the ability of national agencies to pre-emptively identity and counter threats to public safety. Often reform is needed particularly where existing security structures and operations prove ineffective. Our experts have worked in demanding and hostile environments, where organisational structure and processes have to be built from the ground up at a time of rapid change. In addition, to direct face-to-face engagement with operational personnel and commanders, our personnel also conduct over-watch to develop operational units into effective agencies and to manage organisational change. Pinpoint experts have experience of working on cross agency initiatives that prove highly effective in degrading insurgent and criminal activities.
Law Enforcement Training
Training is central to the delivery of an effective community focused policing service. Pinpoint’s approach is to deliver an integrated package of training which builds practical operational knowledge and skills. We have a wide range of courses at Tier 1, 2 and 3 levels; including intelligence collection, crime scene investigation, interview skills, analysis and a range of public order courses. Pinpoint offers clients a detailed training needs analysis conducted by experienced senior trainers with international experience in training intelligence, investigation and public order capabilities. Clients can select the courses and the level of training they require.
Specialist Military Training
Pinpoint can provide Special Forces (SF) training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 level, ranging from counter-terrorism and anti-poaching to covert operations. Our specialists are seasoned former British military SF operators who are used to working on multi-agency programmes. Their expertise includes risk management and analysis, hostage extraction, and operational ‘command and control’. They all have real experience of working in unstable and volatile environments.
Linguists & Cultural Advisors
Knowledge of local languages and customs is key to building working relationships and delivering effective programmes. Pinpoint have over ten years’ experience of recruiting and vetting linguists and cultural advisors for overseas deployments. We will identify linguists with the required skill sets to support training delivery and other requirements (simultaneous translation) in the classroom and on operations.
Gender Related Services
Pinpoint, in partnership with Genderforce, provide a range of services to counter Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and can provide a team of experienced security experts who can be deployed to conflict and post conflict environments where women and girls, or other vulnerable citizens are at risk.
